This article analyzes the socio-pedagogical essence of developing artistic and aesthetic taste and design skills in students from a scientific, theoretical and practical perspective. The study substantiates the role of artistic and aesthetic education in personal development, the integrative features of design activities in the educational process, and their importance in developing students' social activity, creative thinking, and cultural awareness.
