Thin endometrium, defined as an endometrial thickness less than 7 mm in the proliferative phase or less than 8 mm in the secretory phase, is a common finding in women with infertility. While the exact cause of thin endometrium is unknown, it is thought to be related to several factors, including hormonal imbalances, uterine abnormalities, and chronic inflammation. Thin endometrium can interfere with implantation, the process by which a fertilized egg attaches to the uterine lining and begins to develop. As a result, women with thin endometrium may have difficulty becoming pregnant.

This review article will discuss the current understanding of thin endometrium and its impact on infertility. We will review the different causes of thin endometrium, the diagnostic criteria, and the various treatment options available. We will also discuss the evidence supporting the use of different treatment approaches and the factors that may influence treatment success. Finally, we will discuss future directions for research in this area.
