DECIPHERING SUCCESS: KEY FACTORS INFLUENCING PERFORMANCE MEASUREMENT EFFECTIVENESS
Cipta Murni , Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Gadjah Mada, IndonesiaAbstract
Performance measurement is crucial for organizations to assess their progress, make informed decisions, and achieve strategic objectives. However, the effectiveness of performance measurement systems often varies, influenced by a myriad of factors. This paper aims to unravel the key factors that influence the success of performance measurement initiatives in organizations. Drawing on existing literature and empirical studies, we identify and analyze factors such as organizational culture, leadership commitment, alignment with strategic goals, data quality, employee engagement, and technology integration. By understanding these factors and their interplay, organizations can optimize their performance measurement practices to enhance accountability, drive performance improvements, and foster organizational success.
