Next Scientists – Open Access Publishing Policy

All journals published by Next Scientists operate under a Gold Open Access model, ensuring that published articles are freely available to readers worldwide without any subscription or access barriers. To support the cost of editorial management, peer review, typesetting, DOI assignment, digital archiving, and long-term online hosting, an Article Processing Fee (APF) is applied.

Fee Details

  • The Article Processing Fee is $250 USD

  • The fee is applicable only after the manuscript has been accepted for publication following a successful peer-review process.

No Charges for Submission or Review

  • Authors are not required to pay any fee at the time of submission.

  • The entire peer review and editorial process is free of charge, and authors will only be invoiced if their paper is formally accepted for publication.

What the APF Covers

The APF supports the following publishing services:

  • Editorial management and peer review coordination

  • Manuscript editing and formatting

  • DOI registration and CrossRef indexing

  • Open access hosting and online dissemination

  • Archiving in digital repositories for permanent access

  • Metadata distribution to indexing and abstracting databases

Waivers and Discounts

Next Scientists may offer discounts or waivers on a case-by-case basis for:

  • Authors from low-income or developing countries

  • Early-career researchers without institutional funding

  • Special issues or invited articles

Requests for waivers must be submitted at the time of manuscript submission and are subject to approval by the editorial board.

Payment Process

  • Upon acceptance, the corresponding author will receive an invoice with payment instructions.

  • Payment must be completed before the article proceeds to production and publication.
