Atiye Beceren , Pamukkale University, Denizli, Turkey

Abstract

This study conducts a thorough exploration of the utilization of picture books in preschool education institutions, aiming to provide a comprehensive understanding of their role in early childhood education. Through an in-depth investigation, the research delves into the various ways picture books are incorporated into teaching practices, their impact on cognitive and socio-emotional development, and the perceptions of educators regarding their effectiveness. The study employs a mixed-methods approach, combining qualitative insights from interviews and observations with quantitative data gathered through surveys, to offer a well-rounded perspective on the use of picture books in fostering learning experiences for preschoolers.
