Language and culture are closely interconnected phenomena that influence each other continuously. The fashion industry, as a global cultural and economic phenomenon, serves as an important platform for intercultural communication and linguistic exchange. This article examines the cross-cultural aspects of fashion industry terminology in Uzbek and English. The study focuses on the formation, adaptation, semantic development, and stylistic use of fashion-related terms in both languages. Particular attention is paid to lexical borrowing, cultural influences, globalization, and the role of digital communication in shaping contemporary fashion discourse. The findings indicate that English functions as a major source of international fashion terminology, while Uzbek actively incorporates and adapts foreign lexical units according to national linguistic and cultural norms. The research highlights the importance of understanding cultural factors in the interpretation and use of fashion terminology.
