Abstract

This article provides a comparative analysis of the syntactic strategies employed in English and Uzbek. The study examines core syntactic features—word order, conjunctions, passive constructions, relative pronouns, and ellipsis—and their transformation during translation. Due to the typological contrast between the analytic nature of English and the agglutinative structure of Uzbek, the two languages demonstrate substantial syntactic divergence. The article highlights how these differences influence translation practices and discusses the strategies translators adopt to maintain semantic accuracy, logical coherence, and stylistic naturalness in the target language.
