In this article, the specific features of forming and improving the reading literacy of elementary school students. The contents of the mother tongue and reading literacy lessons provide information about the didactic possibilities of developing reading literacy in primary school students. In addition, there are recommendations on methods of studying foreign experiences in teaching primary school students to be creative.
