This article analyzes the theoretical and practical aspects of modernizing the public finance management system, improving budget policy, and ensuring effective state debt management in the Republic of Uzbekistan. The importance of diversifying the debt portfolio, optimizing debt service costs, and enhancing transparency in borrowing under conditions of global interest rate volatility, increasing external debt burden, and financial risks is substantiated. Furthermore, the experiences of G7 countries in ensuring debt sustainability are studied, and proposals for their utilization in national practice are developed.
