Abstract

Remembrance and appreciation are among the most ancient customs of the Uzbek people. The article presents a linguoculturological analysis of the special proper names of remembrance days belonging to the heortonymy of the Uzbek language, other onyms formed on their basis, as well as folk traditions and ceremonies associated with these dates.
