World literature represents a vast and diverse body of literary works created across different historical periods, cultures, and languages. It reflects the universal experiences of humanity while preserving the unique cultural identities of nations. This article examines the concept of world literature, its historical development, major themes, and its significance in modern education. Special attention is given to the role of world literature in fostering intercultural understanding, moral values, and critical thinking. The study also highlights the relevance of classical and modern literary works in shaping readers’ worldview and cultural awareness.
