The article discusses the theoretical foundations of the state-legal protection of the historical and cultural heritage of modern Uzbekistan, paid attention to the definition of the concept and content of the historical and cultural heritage. The constitutional and legal foundations for the protection of the historical and cultural heritage of the peoples of Uzbekistan have been studied, the main directions for the development of the regulatory framework in the field of protection of the historical and cultural heritage, as well as the current state and development trends of the regulatory framework for the protection of the historical and cultural heritage of modern Uzbekistan, have been analyzed. ‎
