This article analyses, from a socio-philosophical perspective, the issues of improving the institutional foundations for enhancing human dignity on the basis of trade unions. It highlights the role of labour rights, decent working conditions, social protection, occupational safety, fair labour relations and social partnership mechanisms in ensuring human dignity. The article reveals the institutional capacity of trade unions to protect the rights and interests of employees, to develop social dialogue between employers and employees, and to secure the socio-economic interests of working people through collective agreements and accords. It also substantiates approaches aimed at increasing the effectiveness of efforts to enhance human dignity by improving the legal, organisational and social mechanisms of trade union activity. Particular attention is paid to the harmony between human dignity and the principles of decent work, to the role of trade unions as civil society institutions, and to their importance in ensuring social justice in modern labour relations.
