This article presents a comparative analysis of the extent to which pilgrimage tourism resources are utilized in the cities of Bukhara and Samarkand. Based on the results of field research, structured interviews, and a pilgrim survey, differences between the two cities in terms of tourist flow, infrastructure, and service quality were identified. According to the findings, uniting the two cities within a single “pilgrimage corridor” concept, creating a unified marketing brand, and improving transport connectivity would allow for a more effective use of the region’s tourism potential.
